I love waffles! Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, sweet or savoury version.. They basically go along with everything in this world! Waffles FTW.. LOL! So when I hear there's a relatively new cafe in Marrickville and I see that glorious word, WAFFLE, on the menu.. There's nothing in this world can really stop me from going there ;D

Set in a large warehouse space, this place conveys that warmth and homely feel with all the wooden furnitures, timber panels and its high brick walls allow natural light to pour into the space.. There are plenty of tables inside with a large communal table in the centre or you can also choose to sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy the sunshine!

We started with an Affogato as Mr. Nomnom is still on his mission (to find out Sydney's best affogato). He felt like the ice cream part was too overwhelming and there wasn't enough espresso for his liking..  I heard they use Single Estate bean and roast it themselves!

I bet it'll be too difficult to turn your eyes away from these gorgeous array of sweets and cakes on display as you walk past the brightly-lit cabinet to your table. All sweets, pastries and cakes are made daily in-house by the pastry maestro, Libby Marriner, and they also have selection of raw desserts if you want a guilt-free dessert!

We decided to try the Blueberry and Lemon Slice as it looked so inviting delicious with its bright colour.. The biscuit base was crumbly and buttery, it's light and had a great combination of sweet blueberry glaze and zesty tang of lemons.

Banana bread is already perfect on its own as a breakfast option but the added walnuts and cranberries lend another definition of sweet, moist, buttery flavour with nutty and crusty texture especially around the edge (my favourite part!)

I love how they use cultured butter on this Cranberry Walnut Banana Bread. It was a pure bliss with the extra buttery texture and completely addictive tang as it went well with blackberry and blueberry jam sweetness.

Our next pretty dish was this soft and creamy Flourless Oatmeal Hotcake. It's served warm and deliciously melted as soon as it entered my mouth. The more I ate, the more I felt it gave me the feeling of eating a chewy and gooey bowl of oatmeal but all wrapped up in the form of these delicious hotcakes! Served with toasted shaved coconuts, mixed berry sauce and smooth vanilla labne, there were so much elements going on this dish and made it quite heavy (I didn't manage to finish it although I really wanted to - I'll let Mr. Nomnom stop me from over-ordering next time!)

The one I've been waiting for.. The star of our meal .. Fried Chicken and Kimchi Waffles! It came gloriously with crumbed fried chicken and finely grated parmesan cheese on top. The waffle texture was airy and spongy but quite damp for my liking (to me, waffles were supposed to be light, airy and most of all crisp =)) The combination of sriracha sauce and kewpie mayonnaise gave a nice little kick and extra tastiness to the waffle in overall!
